Meet our Board Members!

Amy is a lifelong dancer, singer and scientist. Her dancing credits include being a national tap dance champion, as well as a member of the NCAA Dance Team at UC Berkeley. At UC Berkeley, she earned her degree in Organic Chemistry. Amy works as a pharmaceutical chemist, innovating in process development and manufacture of small and large

She has participated in a ton of shows, with a few of her favorite roles including Velma in Chicago, Louise in Gypsy, Ulla in the Producers, Reno in Anything Goes, and the Witch in Into the Woods. 

Kristin grew up in Belgium and Virginia, before moving out west to attend college. She moved to Elko with her husband in 2014, and immediately became involved in the community theatre scene in GBC’s production of Les Misérables. She has since been an active participant in both Overland and GBC productions. Some of her featured roles have 

Kristin grew up in Belgium and Virginia, before moving out west to attend college. She moved to Elko with her husband in 2014, and immediately became involved in the community theatre scene in GBC’s production of Les Misérables. She has since been an active participant in both Overland and GBC productions. Some of her featured roles have included Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and her favorite, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She was also the choreographer for Overland’s productions of Matilda Jr., Little Shop of Horrors and Annie Jr. Outside of Overland, Kristin assists the Elko High School Theatre, runs a photography business, and is a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters.

Elizabeth grew up in Cedar City, UT and loved being so close to the Utah Shakespearean Festival.

She has lived in Elko for 4 years with her husband and six kids, who also love to get involved with the arts. She has been involved in theatre since high school, in many different roles, including acting & stage managing. Elizabeth has worked w

She has lived in Elko for 4 years with her husband and six kids, who also love to get involved with the arts. She has been involved in theatre since high school, in many different roles, including acting & stage managing. Elizabeth has worked with several theatre organizations previously, and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Theatre Studies. Some of her favorite roles she has played include Truvy in Steel Magnolias and Lina Lamont in Singin in the Rain.

She grew up in Elko as a competitive dancer, and competed in Speech and Debate and Color Guard throughout high school. A loyal theatre fan, Danica’s passion lies in performance, especially in dancing. She grew up in Elko as a competitive dancer, and competed in Speech and Debate and Color Guard throughout high school. She joined Overland after assisting with choreography for Annie Jr, and served as the choreographer for Frozen Jr. She has also performed in the ensemble of Chicago, A Christmas Story, and Into the Woods. Outside of theatre, Danica is a full-time nursing student at GBC, hoping to pursue emergency nursing in the future. 

Shauna Plunkett is a native Elko resident, having lived here most of her life. Shauna attended Elko High School and participated in Choraliers, Band, and of course, the theatre department. Shauna has had many roles both on and off the stage with community theatre and the high school. She has played the roles of Mother Abbess in the Sound

She has played the roles of Mother Abbess in the Sound of Music, Reno’s Angel Virtue in Anything Goes, and, her favorite, Roxie in Chicago. She has also worked as the Music Director for Matilda Jr., Little Shop of Horrors, and Shrek. Shauna enjoys her work with Overland Stage Theatre Company and hopes to serve as long as she can.

Amanda is a lover of the theatre, with her and her family participating in multiple productions each year.  She is a mother of five children, and is active in the community service and religious activities around the valley.  She is a small business owner and currently owns and operates Elko Artisan Arches, a balloon design company.  She 

Amanda is a lover of the theatre, with her and her family participating in multiple productions each year.  She is a mother of five children, and is active in the community service and religious activities around the valley.  She is a small business owner and currently owns and operates Elko Artisan Arches, a balloon design company.  She brings her keen eye for design, communication and organization to the board where she has proudly served since June 2025.  She has been involved in the facilitation, management and organization of theatre productions since 2022, where she fell in love with theatre during The Nutcracker.

Kari is a longstanding member of our local theater community. She participated in theater in high school and college, and has been involved in theater in Elko since moving here in 2005. Kari has six grown kids who were also very involved in music and theater as they grew up. Kari & her husband, Rory have designed and built the sets for several of our last shows. Outside of theater, Kari is a family relationships coach, as well as an organ player & employee of the Elko temple. She also enjoys hiking and spending time in the mountains.

Ashlee Sandoval joined the board in early 2026 to bring her voice to theatre. Acting is a huge passion of hers, having acted and performed all throughout high school. Her favorite roles have been The Mad Narrator in Poe: Dreams of Madness, Pinocchio in Shrek, & Kitty in Chicago. She has also competed nationally in Poetry Out Loud. As a Hispanic woman, it’s important to her to represent her culture through the arts. Outside of theatre, Ashlee is a college student, pursuing a career in disability services.
